Everybody and every BODY needs to fuel their body to optimize their everyday activities. Let’s dive in..

  1. Carbohydrates: Our body and more importantly our brain, uses carbohydrates as its most preferred energy source. If we are lacking carbohydrates in our diet, we tend to feel fatigued.
  2. Protein: Our muscles need protein after a hard workout to rebuild and grow stronger. Protein is also vital for regulating our blood sugar. Make sure to eat a protein source at every meal. Protein sources: eggs, peanut butter, nuts, seeds, beans, chicken, turkey, salmon, beef, and pork.
  3. Fat: Fat keeps you feeling full and satisfied throughout the day. Consuming low-fat diets can leave you feeling hungry and deprived. Food containing healthy fat sources: Try extra virgin olive oil, avocados, nuts, seeds, and salmon.
